Oncology Certified Nurses (OCN) working at Nebraska Medicine obtain certification in Oncology Nursing.

Blue Distinction Center

First and only hospital in the state to receive the Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Nebraska, Blue Distinction Center for Complex and Rare Cancers. Only about 90 other medical centers in the United States have earned the same distinction. Blue Distinction Centers for Complex and Rare Cancers were developed in strategic collaboration with the National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN) and input from a panel of leading clinicians and professional organizations. The Blue Distinction Centers for Complex and Rare Cancers Program evaluates facilities on patient assessment, treatment planning, complex inpatient care and major surgical treatments for adults; all delivered by teams with distinguished expertise and subspecialty training for complex and rare cancers.
