Outstanding patient care happens when the best researchers work alongside clinicians to provide a personalized patient care plan. Through collaboration between the University of Nebraska Medical Center and its hospital partner, Nebraska Medicine, patients will experience personalized care – based on the latest scientific research – in one facility.

Here, the world’s best doctors and researchers ask questions, share ideas and find answers that profoundly improve patient outcomes. This fusion of science and medicine will align in new and uncharted ways to speed up breakthroughs in the lab and ensure greater convenience for patients and their families.

“The Fred & Pamela Buffet Cancer Center provides a unique opportunity for me as a basic scientist. I meet and collaborate with clinicians who can help translate my research into something I hope can directly benefit cancer patients. From the identification of novel chemotherapeutic targets using a model system looking at DNA replication in a chromatin context to the screening of potential drugs designed to zone in on these targets, I hope to make a broad impact from the bench to the bedside.”
